Pluck Privacy Policy

Pluck is a photo-clutter vacuum for iOS, built and operated by Barder Works LLC (“Barder Works”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Pluck handles your information when you use the app and visit its web pages.

1. Who we are

2. What Pluck does

Pluck scans and groups items in your photo library on your device to help you identify screenshots, duplicates, and other clutter. All analysis is performed locally on your device. Pluck does not operate as a social network, advertising platform, or tracking service.

3. Information we access in the app

Pluck requires certain permissions in order to function:

• Photos and videos (on-device only). When you grant Photos permission, Pluck can read photo metadata (such as date, size, and type) and analyze content locally to group similar or duplicate items. Your photo library is not uploaded to our servers.
• Optional diagnostics. We may receive limited, aggregated diagnostic information (such as app version, device type, or crash reports) to improve stability and performance.

4. Information we do not collect

Pluck is intentionally minimal. In particular:

• We do not require user accounts.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or contacts within the app.
• We do not upload your photos or videos to our servers.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers.

5. Crash reports & diagnostics

To maintain app stability, we may use Apple-provided tools or a third-party crash reporting service to collect anonymous diagnostic data (such as device model, iOS version, and crash traces).

Diagnostic reports do not include the contents of your photo library.

6. How we use information

We use limited data described above to:

• Provide and improve Pluck’s core features.
• Fix bugs and monitor performance.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

7. Data retention

Photo analysis occurs locally and in real time. We do not retain copies of your photo library on our servers.

Aggregated diagnostic data, where collected, may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for stability and product improvement.

8. Your choices & controls

• Photos permission. You can change Pluck’s access to your Photos at any time in iOS Settings.
• Deleting the app. Uninstalling Pluck removes the app and its locally stored data from your device.
• Diagnostics. Where available, you may control diagnostic sharing in your device settings.

9. Children’s privacy

Pluck is not designed for children and does not include account registration, chat, or social features. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact hello@barderworks.co.

10. International users

Pluck is operated from the United States. If you use the app from another region, you understand that any limited diagnostic data may be processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be noted within the app.
